Grab a friend and join Kristiana Coutu from Farmers Bloom for a casual evening of education and discussion about cut flowers. Kristiana has created a collection of her favorite, easy to grow cut flowers so you can succeed in growing your own personal cutting garden. True florist quality varieties can be difficult to find. This collection takes the guess work out of it for you. These are the very same varieties grown on the Farmers Bloom farm and provided to the floral industry. Kristiana will discuss each plant in your collection, providing instructions and tips for planting, maintaining and harvesting. You will go home with the knowledge and confidence to grow exceptional flowers.

Personal Cutting Garden Plant Collection:

Your personal cutting garden plant collection includes plants to take home and create your own magical cutting garden. This collection includes varieties grown specifically for florists and floral designers which means they are unique, high quality and have long stems – perfect for bouquets.

Your personal collection will include 32 plants, each in an individual 2 1/2 inch labeled pot,ready for you to plant in your garden. These larger pots provide some leeway in planting time so don’t stress if you cannot plant immediately. You can also plant into containers if you do not have garden space available. Collections will include plants selected from the following list. Please note that each collection will not include all varieties included below. These are the very same varieties grown by Farmers Bloom.

Cosmos, Calendula (also used for DIY soap and skin care products), Celosia, Specialty Zinnias, Pin Cushion Flower, Basil/Dill/Rosemary (varieties that make great bouquet filler), Tall Cutting Snapdragons, Statice (great fresh or dried), Gomphrena (great fresh or dried), Strawflower (great fresh or dried), Giant Cutting Marigolds, Dianthus (aka Sweet William), Matricaria, Rudbeckia
