Calligraphy Fundamentals (6 of 6)

Study the fundamentals of calligraphy with Robert Hosack DDS through the Western Michigan University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. The class will be using the hand commonly known as Copperplate starting with posture and how to hold a pen then transitioning into the specifics of nibs, writing paper, shading, spacing, making lines, flourishing, and corrections. You’ll also learn about Titivilus, light tables, laser lines, pencil layouts, computer layouts, erasing shields, and workable fix. Materials needed for the class are provided. Students should expect to take home calligraphy homework throughout this six-part course.
